Cursor is an AI code editor with agent mode, tab completions, and inline edits. Use Cursor’s OpenAI API Key + Override OpenAI Base URL flow to send eligible chat/agent requests through Uptech API.

Cursor’s BYOK surface changes over time. Treat this guide as the current recommended shape and re-check Cursor’s API key docs if the UI labels differ.

Prerequisites

• Cursor installed and signed in
• An Uptech API API key from Workspace → API Keys

Configure Cursor

1. Open Cursor Settings (Cmd/Ctrl + ,).
2. Go to Mô hình, then expand API key.
3. Enable OpenAI API Key and paste your Uptech API key (sk-apigo-...).
4. Enable Override OpenAI Base URL and set:

https://api.uptech.vn/v1

5. In Mô hình, click Add model and enter Uptech API slugs from the Model Catalog, for example:

• gpt-5.6-sol
• qwen3.8-max
• deepseek-v4-flash

6. Open the chat or agent model picker and select one of the models you added.

How it works

Cursor’s OpenAI provider override calls your configured base URL with OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions requests. Uptech API accepts those calls at /v1/chat/completions and bills them to your workspace.

Limitations

• Tab completions usually stay on Cursor’s built-in models and ignore BYOK.
• Auto / Composer modes may not route through your key — confirm in Cursor’s docs for your build.
• Tool-calling and agent features depend on the model you pick and Cursor’s request shape. If tool calls fail, switch models or verify the request in Nhật ký gọi API.
